Regional workshop on agrobiodiversity focuses on mainstreaming biodiversity in agriculture for sustainable development and food security07 Sep 2017

Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA), the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB), and Maejo University (MJU) collaborate to hold the Regional Workshop on Mainstreaming Biodiversity in Agriculture for Sustainable Development and Food Security in Southeast Asia at the International Education and Training Center of MJU in Chiang Mai, Thailand on 12-14 September 2017.

The regional workshop will gather different sectors and institutions working on agrobiodiversity in the region to discuss and share status and trends, including the underlying causes of change and cross-cutting issues, and knowledge of its management and conservation practices in the region.

SEAMEO BIOTROP Calls for Submission of Research Proposals for 2018 and 201917 Jul 2017

SEAMEO Regional Centre for Tropical Biology (BIOTROP) calls research project proposals for implementation in 2018 and 2019 on the theme of “Managing biodiversity of ecosystems for greater sustainability and resilience in Southeast Asia”. Research proposals should cover any or a combination of the Centre’s three new program under its 10th FYPD on restoration of degraded ecosystem, sustainable management of intensively used ecosystems/landscapes, and conservation and sustainable use of unique ecosystems/landscapes of high biodiversity.

Call for Innovations for the SDGs07 Apr 2016

The first annual Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (STI Forum) will be held at the United Nations in New York, on June 6 and 7, 2016. Among other things, the STI Forum will aim to feature innovations and solutions for the SDGs. In this context, the Inter-agency Task Team on STI for the SDGs (IATT) and the 10-Member Group to support the Technology Facilitation Mechanism are supporting a Call for Action for the sharing of Innovations for the SDGs.
