East-West Seed has launched its operation in Cambodia on 17 August 2017, gathering more than 100 guests and stakeholders from Government, NGOs, Business, key distributors and farmers. His Excellency Ty Sokhun, Secretary of State of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries keynoted the event.
Cambodia is one of it’s main markets in Southeast Asia and aims to boost the productivity and sustainability of the vegetable sector by providing quality seeds and training farmers on improved farming practices in this country. The East-West Seed country representative in Cambodia, Rithea Heng stated that the company’s business activities not only focused on distributing vegetable seeds but also engage in knowledge transfer because having good quality seeds is not enough to make vegetable farming profitable.
