FAO together with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and APAARI, have been working on documenting success stories on the use of information and communication technologies for agriculture and rural development. The lists of publications are given below. The next publication in this series is titled “E-agriculture in Action: Drones Special Edition” which will focus on the use of satellites, UAVs and the use of GIS for agriculture. In this regard, we would like to request your contribution on practical examples of how you use these technologies for agriculture.
If you are interested to showcase your example/experience, and be a contributor, we request you to send us your contribution (deadline September 10, 2017). The contribution is for a maximum of 10 pages or 5000 words (extra images maybe provided to be used as cover of the publication). The attached template maybe used to as reference in writing your contribution. The publication is slated for a Q4 2017 release.
Please send your contribution to Mr. Gerard Sylvester at Gerard.Sylvester@fao.org, copying Ms. Martina Spisiakova at firstname.lastname@example.org, and Ms. Cel Bitong at email@example.com.
