Workshops on participatory rural appraisal to support local planning for climate-resilient agriculture03 Oct 2016

A series of three workshops on ‘Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) to Support Local Planning for Climate-resilient Agriculture’ were organized in the Dry Zone of Myanmar to build capacities of local stakeholders to use PRA as a tool to support participatory decision-making and enable a more responsive policy environment for agricultural sustainability and farmer welfare in Myanmar’s Dry Zone. The workshops were held for stakeholders in the Sagaing Region from 7-9 September 2016, in the Mandalay Region from 14-16 September 2016 and in the Magway Region from 26-28 September 2016.

The Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT), a Regional Institution of ESCAP, organized a workshop on 'Enhancing Innovation and Competitiveness of micro, small and medium scale enterprises (MSMEs) in Response to the ASEAN Integration for Agro-enterprise' on 28-29 September 2016 in Manila, the Philippines. The workshop was organized in partnership with the Technology Application Promotion Institute (TAPI) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) and DOST-Region XI.
